About Gin Rummy
Gin Rummy is a two-player card game created in 1909 and remains one of the most popular card games today. The objective is to score points by forming your cards into melds, which can be sets (three or four of a kind) or runs (three or more consecutive cards of the same suit).
You draw and discard cards to improve your hand. The round ends when a player 'knocks' (has minimal deadwood/unmatched cards) or goes 'Gin' (has no unmatched cards). It combines memory, probability, and psychological strategy.
How to Play Gin Rummy?
- Draw a card from the stockpile or discard pile.
- Form melds: Sets (e.g., 7-7-7) or Runs (e.g., 4-5-6 of Hearts).
- Discard a card to end your turn.
- Knock when your unmatched card points are 10 or less.
